ACT-D03 Colca Canyon trek 4 DAYS

This trek is for people who have more time and want to explore a little bit more nature life hiking into the Colca canyon, here you have the possibility for fishing, enjoying hot springs and going to reach the Huaruro water falls. The trek days go from 3 till 5 hours hiking down, flat and up hill.
Colca Canyon Trek

06 :30 a.m. Deperture from Arequipa to Cabanaconde.

p.m. Arrival to Cabanaconde and Lunch.

p.m. Descending hiking to Llahuar. Apreciating the nice perspective of the canyon.

p.m. Arrival at Llahuar, place of fruit trees, hot springs and the possibility to fish.

p.m. Dinner and over night.

a.m. Breakfst.

a.m . Leaving to Fure village passing through Llatica village.

a.m. Getting Fure village and lunch.

p.m . Hiking to Huaruro waterfalls.

p.m. Reaching the waterfalls with its 60 meters of watter fall aproximatly.

p.m. Return to Fure , Dinner and over night

a.m. Breakfast.

a.m. The hiking of four hours time continues to the Sangalle village. Passing and appreciating small villages on the way.

p.m. Arrival to Sangalle. place to enjoy the sweeming pool of temperated water 20 ºc.

After Lunch . In the late afternoon Trek up hill to Cabanaconde ( 3 hours aproximatly)and overnight.

After breakfast in Cabanaconde. Transport to The most visited point in the Colca Valley "the Cruz Del Condor", time to see the condors soaring around. After we continue back to Chivay on the way we gonna have a great view of pre-Inca terraces, some arqueological places and colonial tows among others views.

a.m. Arrival to Chivay toward the hot springs "la Calera", 38°C. Temperature.

p.m. Typical lunch of the region.

p.m. Transport back to Arequipa . On the way we descend from 4830 a.s.l. to 2 325 m.a.s.l. and passing through a Nacional Reserve and Pampa Cañahuas habit of the four kind of south American camelides.(llama. Alpaca, vicuña and guanaco)

17.00. Arrival to Arequipa .

Note:   For people who can get tired on the trek is possible to hire mules.
