Description: this tour is perfect if you like to see some more of the beautiful colonial cities like Arequipa and Cuzco, but of course we will also spend time on the beautiful nature of Peru.

Itinerary.

Day 1: LIMA
Arrival in Lima, reception and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: LIMA (B)
City tour in Lima including a guided visit to the Cathedral, the Main Square and the San Francisco Catacombs. Evening transfer to Pisco and overnight.

Day 3: BALLESTAS ISLANDS (B)
We visit the Paracas National Reserve and Ballestas islands. Commonly referred to as the "little Galapagos", here you will see an amazing concentration of sea birds and sea lions in their natural habitat. Evening transfer to Nazca and accommodation.

Day 4: NAZCA LINES (B)
Today we fly over the spectacular Nazca lines, gigantic drawings and figures which are over 2000 years old.  Evening bus to Arequipa and accommodation.

Day 5: AREQUIPA (B)
City tour in Arequipa, often referred to as the "white city", including the 16th century convent "El Monasterio de Santa Catalina" which is built entirely of volcanic lava.

Day 6: COLCA CANYON (B)
After breakfast, we drive through some wonderful scenery towards the Colca Canyon, where we will see groups of wild alpacas, lamas, vicuñas and guanacos. Overnight in Chivay.

Day 7: COLCA CANYON (B)
An early start to visit the Colca canyon, the second deepest canyon in the world (the deepest canyon”Cotahuasi” lies only a few kilometers from here). We shall also have an opportunity to see the mighty condor, the largest flying bird. In the afternoon we return to our hotel in Arequipa.

Day 8: CUZCO (B)
In the morning we take a flight to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Incas. Half day guided tour of Cuzco including the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Overnight in Cuzco.

Day 9: SACRED VALLEY (B)
Full day excursion to Urubamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and to the ancient Inca market of Pisac. Overnight in Cuzco.

Day 10: MACCHU PICCHU (B)
Train journey to Aguas Calientes and a full day guided tour in Macchu Picchu, the most spectacular ancient city of the Inkas. Overnight in Cuzco (B).

Day 11: PUNO (B,L)
In the morning departure by bus to Puno, visiting on the route: Inca ruins and the remains of the Viracocha temple. We shall also visit the steaming volcanic pools by La Raya. Overnight in Puno.

Day 12: TITICACA LAKE (B,L,D)
After a boat trip in the morning, we visit the floating islands of Uros on Titicaca lake. Overnight stay on the island of Amantani in local Aymara Indian homes.

Day 13: TITICACA LAKE (B)
During the morning we visit the next island “Taquile” and in the afternoon we return to Puno. Overnight.

Day 14: LIMA (B)
Morning flight back to Lima.
