Description: during this tour you will see all the major places of interest that the southern part of Peru & Bolivia have to offer. The route is excellent for getting used to the altitudes in the mountains of Peru & Bolivia.

Itinerary.

Day 1: LIMA
Pick up upon arrival and overnight located in Miraflores.

Day 2: LIMA CITY TOUR (B)
City tour in Lima including a guided visit to the Cathedral, the Main Square and the San Francisco Catacombs, overnight in Lima.

Day 3: PARACAS (B)
Early in the morning transfer to the bus station, at 7:30 am you will take the first Class bus to Paracas. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel, then excursion to Paracas national reserve. Paracas is one of the best marine reserves, with the highest concentration of marine birds. In the afternoon return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 4: BALLESTAS & NAZCA LINES (B)
At 7:15 a motorboat excursion to the Ballestas islands starts. These islands are spectacular, eroded into numerous arches and caves, which provide shelter for thousands of seabirds and sealions. At the end transfer to Nazca where we will admire the famous Nazca lines. The lines, that represent some sort of vast astronomical pre-Inca calendar, are best seen from the air. We will take a half hour flight above the Lines, afterwards you'll visit to the Chauchilla cemetery, where skulls, mummies and pottery shards litter the desert. Overnight bus to Arequipa and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5: AREQUIPA (B)
In the afternoon, you'll take the Arequipa half day city tour that includes the visit at the Santa Catalina monastery. This monastery is by far the most remarkable sight, opened in 1970 after 4 centuries of mistery. You will spend the night in Arequipa.

Day 6: CABANACONDE (B,L,D)
We leave Arequipa at 7:00 am and arrive at Cabanaconde near the edge of the Colca Canyon, after lunch we start trekking down into the canyon (1300mt descending ). Overnight in basic lodges.

Day 7: COLCA CANYON (B,L)
A full day of trekking in the Colca Canyon, uphill as well as downhill. Halfway we have the opportunity to take a jump in a swimming pool 20ºC. In the afternoon we return back to Cabanaconde (1300mts uphill), overnight.

Day 8: PUNO (B)
After breakfast we take a short bus ride (30mtes) to the "Cruz del Condor", where we can observe the flight of the condors. After a stop in Chivay for lunch (optional: visit to the hot springs) we continue the trip to Puno.

Day 9: UROS AND TAQUILE ISLANDS (B)
You will be picked up from your hotel at 7:30 a.m., to visit the Uros islands in the Titicaca lake. After this you will visit the Taquile island, where we will have lunch. There is also a cooperative shop on the plaza that sells exceptional wool goods. We will return to the hotel in Puno in the afternoon.
Day 10: PUNO – LA PAZ VIA COPACABANA (B).
At 7.00 hrs you are picked up at the hotel to take the bus to La Paz, on the way we will have a stop for 1.30 hrs in Copacabana, then we pass the lake by a ferry to continue the bus trip to La Paz, arriving at 17.00 hrs aprox.

Day 11: OVERNIGHT BUS TO UYUNI (B)
Today you have 3 options to do during the day, by night we have an overnight bus to Uyuni:
OPTION1.-BIKING TO COROICO "DEATH ROAD" A FULL DAY TOUR
OPTION 2.-TOUR LA PAZ + VALLEY OF THE MOON HALF DAY TOUR
OPTION 3.- THE CULTURE OF TIWANAKUA FULLDAY TOUR

TOUR LA PAZ - UYUNI - UYUNI SALT LAKE – SUD LIPEZ
Duration: (4 nights,4 days)
TRANSPORT LA PAZ - ORURO - UYUNI.
NOTE: As for the transport La Paz - Uyuni there are 2 options:
First Option: Tourist bus La Paz – Uyuni (WE RECOMEND TO DO THIS OPTION).
At 20:00. Picking up of the passengers from their hotels of the city of La Paz and transfer to the Bus Terminal to take a tourist Bus from the city of La Paz to Uyuni
Duration of the trip of 10 hours.
Daily departures at 21:00 (comfortable Bus with seats executive soft, declinable with more space between seats than the conventional buses, heating, Toilet with extractor of air)
Included: Transfer and tourist bus La Paz - Uyuni.
Second Option: Bus and Train La Paz - Oruro - Uyuni.
Picking up of the passengers from their hotels in the city of La Paz and transfer to the Bus Terminal to take regular bus to the city of Oruro (Duration of 3 and a half hours). Arrival and transfer to the Station of Trains to take the train toward the city of Uyuni, arrival and accommodation in the Selected hotel (Duration of the train is 7 Hours).
Information: Days of departures of the Train, 4 days a week (Tuesday - Wednesday - Friday and Sundays).

Day 12.- UYUNI – SALT LAKE – ISLAND OF THE FISH - SAN JUAN (B, L, D).
After the breakfast you have free time until the hour of beginning of the tour.
Departure from Uyuni at 11:00 a.m. to the biggest Salt Desert, in mobility (Land Cruiser - 4x4) In the itinerary you visit:
Cemetery of trains. - where you will be able to observe trains and very old locomotives.
The population of Colchani. - Located to the banks of the great Salt Lake, it serves from main entrance to the desert of salt, also known as "Dry Port", where the intense activity of extraction of salt is observed in handmade form. The residents taught us the drying process, milled and pocketed of the salt, clever for the consumption, after the visit we will continue with the same transport when and to be able to visit:
Hotel of Salt. - Located in the middle of Salt Lake, built with blocks of salt, so much external as interior, walls, floor, beds, tables, seats, everything of salt with a beautiful view of the Salt Lake, nowadays it can be visited as a museum.
Island Incahuasi (Island of the Fish). - Located amid the desert of salt, the Island generally well-known as "The Island of the Fish" populated by numerous giant cacti with heights superior to the 10 meters, from the summit you can contemplate the wonderful landscape of Salting. After our visit to the island we will have lunch and in the afternoon we will continue to San Juan's Population where we will spend the night at Family homes.
Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, shared jeep + accommodation at Family Homes.

Day 13. SAN JUAN - LAGOONS - RED LAGOON (B, L, D).
After the breakfast we will continue our adventure going to the Red Lagoon, visiting in the itinerary the active volcano Ollague, the lagoons of Cañapa, Stinking, Chiarcota and Sling, lagoons that are populated by flamingos, to half-day a break in the road to have the lunch and in the afternoon we will continue our journey passing the desert of Siloli where we will observe an interesting rocky formation well-known as the Tree of Stone and in the afternoon we will arrive to The Red Lagoon located in the National Park of Andean Fauna Eduardo Avaroa. Walk surroundings of the lagoon appreciating big quantities of flamingos, the red colour of the lagoon is because the zooplacton silts, fitoplacton and others.
Spend the night and dinner.
It includes: Breakfast, lunch, dinner, shared jeep + accommodation at Family Homes.

Day 14. RED LAGOON - GREEN LAGOON - UYUNI (B, L, D).
This day we will leave very early to our tour (05:00 a.m). to be able to appreciate the Geisers better - fumaroles (volcanic area), but well-known as "Sun of Tomorrow" then we continue to the thermal waters - Polques, there we have breakfast, break, then continue to the Lagoons "White" and "Green" located to the feet of the volcano Llicancabur, to a height of 4.350 m.a.s.l., the green colour owes itself high content of magnesium that possess the geologic formations of the area, after our visit to the lagoon green return to Uyuni and in the itinerary we will make a break to have lunch and continue our trip going by the Valley of Rocks and the typical populations of Villa Alota - Kulpinaka - San Cristobal.
Arrival to the population of Uyuni approximately 18:30, then free until the hour of return to La Paz.
20:00 Hrs. Tourist bus Uyuni – La Paz.
It includes: Breakfast, lunch, shared jeep + tourist bus Uyuni – La Paz.

Day 15. ARRIVAL TO THE CITY OF LA PAZ (B).
At 07:00 AM. Arrival to the bus terminal, after a long bus ride, we stay this day at La Paz, to continue early the next day to Cusco.
RECOMMENDATIONS. Take sheltered clothes, sleeping bag, sunglasses, cremates for sun, a towel, rain poncho in rain time (Personal Stuff). The appropriate months to visit this Circuit are: From April to November (Dry Time)

Day 16. LA PAZ-CUSCO VIA DESAGUADERO (B, L)..
6.00 hrs, departure from La PAZ, a 12 hrs bus ride to Cusco, will bring us a complete altiplanic view during all the roud.
Today we have 2 transportation.
1 La Paz- Desaguadero (the border) 2 hrs
1 Desaguadero- Cusco 7hrs
Both transportation prívate only for your group.
We arrive in Cusco about 16.00hrs
Accomodation in Cusco.

Day 17: CUZCO CITY TOUR (B)
Morning free. In the afternoon a city tour visiting the major sites of historical interest in Cuzco and the nearby ruins, such as the famous Inca fortress at Sacsahuaman, and the Sun temple. Overnight in Cuzco.

Day 18: SACRED VALLEY TOUR AND OVERNIHGT IN AGUAS CALIETNES (B)
Full day excursion to the Urubamba Valley visiting the village of Pisac. In the afternoon you'll visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, an architectural complex which was a gigantic agricultural, administrative, social, religious and military complex. At the end of this tour in Ollantaytambo we make a train conection to Aguas Calientes for the overnight (1.30hrs train ride).

Day 19: MACHU PICCHU (B)
At 5:45 a.m. you will be picked up from the hotel to have a 25 mtes bus ride to get the Macchupicchu ruins, then we start a tour to Machuppicchu, to avoid all the other tourists arriving at 10.30 hrs.
After the 2 hrs guided tour, you have plenty of time to do different activities like Climbing the famous Waynapicchu, walking to the Inka Bridge among others.
In the late afternoon about 17.30 hrs you have a train back to Ollantaytambo then bus conection to Cusco, total time of train + bus 3.30 hrs.

Day 20: CUSCO- LIMA (B)
At the indicated time tranfer to the airport for your flight back to Lima for your international conection.
